It’s hard to believe how quickly the past four months have gone by. Though the semester turned out quite differently from what I had expected, I will always be grateful for the time I was able to spend in Benton County. I was continually humbled by the hospitality you all extended to me, which truly made me feel at home. Though last Sunday was my last official day at the parishes, please be assured that you all will be in my daily prayers. It was an honor and a privilege to be able to work, teach, and pray with so many different groups at the parishes and to become enmeshed into such a great community. I came into this internship looking for a time where I could discern a call to the priesthood in a deeper way, and I can say that this time was one of the most formative of any semester I’ve had in seminary, which is thanks to all of you and Fr. Haan. I look forward to coming back to St. Charles and St. Patrick at some point over the summer. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart! Seminarian Matt Jakupco
